Answer
When it comes to workwear, there are several common materials used, each with its own advantages and disadvantages:

Cotton

Cotton is a natural, lightweight and breathable fabric that is ideal for summer workwear and those prone to sweating12. It is comfortable to wear but not as durable as other materials2.

Polyester

Polyester is a synthetic, durable, flexible and wrinkle-resistant fabric12. However, it is not very breathable, making it uncomfortable in hot climates2. Recycled polyester is a more sustainable option4.

Nylon

Nylon is a synthetic, extremely durable and quick-drying fabric14. It is moisture-resistant and commonly used for workwear like jackets, backpacks and raincoats4. Nylon is also used in safety shoes for its breathability1.

Leather

Leather is a natural, durable, breathable and insulating material commonly used for work boots24. It provides comfort and protection for long working days on your feet2.

Bamboo

Bamboo is a sustainable, hypoallergenic fabric with impressive moisture-wicking abilities, softness and breathability2. It is often used for workwear socks to keep feet comfortable and odor-free2.

Blended fabrics

Blended fabrics made from two or more fibers combine the benefits of each material, such as increased wear resistance, reduced shrinkage and wrinkles4. The choice of workwear material depends on the type of work, climate and environment4. Factors like durability, comfort, breathability and compliance with safety standards should be considered12.
